renungan seekor siput

Di suatu hari di awal musim semi, seekor siput memulai perjalanannya memanjat sebuah pohon ceri. Beberapa ekor burung di sekitar pohon itu melihat sang siput dengan pandangan aneh.

"Hei, siput tolol." salah seekor dari mereka mencibir.

"Pikirmu kemana kamu akan pergi."

"Mengapa kamu memanjat pohon itu?" berkata yang lain, "Di atas sana tidak ada buah ceri."

"Pada saat saya tiba di atas." kata siput, "Pohon cerinya akan berbuah."

Renungan:

Hanya mereka yang berpandangan jauhlah yang melihat keabadian di balik kekosongan. Sedangkan mereka yang awam melihat kekosongan sebagai kesia-siaan.

janji bertemu disurga

Al-Mubarrid menyebutkan dari Abu Kamil dari Ishaq bin Ibrahim dari Raja' bin Amr An-Nakha'i, ia berkata, "Adalah di Kufah, terdapat pemuda tampan, dia kuat beribadah dan sangat rajin. Suatu saat dia mampir berkunjung ke kampung dari Bani An-Nakha'. Dia melihat seorang wanita cantik dari mereka sehingga dia jatuh cinta dan kasmaran. Dan ternyata, si wanita cantik ini pun begitu juga padanya. Karena sudah jatuh cinta, akhirnya pemuda itu mengutus seseorang melamarnya dari ayahnya. Tetapi si ayah mengabarkan bahwa putrinya telah dojodohkan dengan sepupunya. Walau demikian, cinta keduanya tak bisa padam bahkan semakin berkobar. Si wanita akhirnya mengirim pesan lewat seseorang untuk si pemuda, bunyinya, 'Aku telah tahu betapa besar cintamu kepadaku, dan betapa besar pula aku diuji dengan kamu. Bila kamu setuju, aku akan mengunjungimu atau aku akan mempermudah jalan bagimu untuk datang menemuiku di rumahku'. Dijawab oleh pemuda tadi melalui orang suruhannya, 'Aku tidak setuju dengan dua alternatif itu, "sesungguhnya aku merasa takut bila aku berbuat maksiat pada Rabbku akan adzab yang akan menimpaku pada hari yang besar." (Yunus:15)

Aku takut pada api yang tidak pernah mengecil nyalanya dan tidak pernah padam kobaranya.'

Ketika disampaikan pesan tadi kepada si wanita, dia berkata, "Walau demikian, rupanya dia masih takut kepada Allah? Demi Allah, tak ada seseorang yang lebih berhak untuk bertaqwa kepada Allah dari orang lain. Semua hamba sama-sama berhak untuk itu." Kemudian dia meninggalkan urusan dunia dan menyingkirkan perbuatan-perbuatan buruknya serta mulai beribadah mendekatkan diri kepada Allah. Akan tetapi, dia masih menyimpan perasaan cinta dan rindu pada sang pemuda. Tubuhnya mulai kurus dan kurus menahan rindunya, sampai akhirnya dia meninggal dunia karenanya. Dan pemuda itu seringkali berziarah ke kuburnya, Dia menangis dan mendo'akanya. Suatu waktu dia tertidur di atas kuburanya. Dia bermimpi berjumpa dengan kekasihnya dengan penampilan yang sangat baik. Dalam mimpi dia sempat bertanya, "Bagaimana keadaanmu? Dan apa yang kau dapatkan setelah meninggal?"

Dia menjawaba, "Sebaik-baik cinta wahai orang yang bertanya, adalah cintamu. Sebuah cinta yang dapat mengiring menuju kebaikan."

Pemuda itu bertanya, "Jika demikian, kemanakah kau menuju?" Dia jawab, "Aku sekarang menuju pada kenikmatan dan kehidupan yang tak berakhir. Di Surga kekekalan yang dapat kumiliki dan tidak akan pernah rusak."

Pemuda itu berkata, "Aku harap kau selalu ingat padaku di sana, sebab aku di sini juga tidak melupakanmu." Dia jawab, "Demi Allah, aku juga tidak melupakanmu. Dan aku meminta kepada Tuhanku dan Tuhanmu (Allah SWT) agar kita nanti bisa dikumpulkan. Maka, bantulah aku dalam hal ini dengan kesungguhanmu dalam ibadah."

Si pemuda bertanya, "Kapan aku bisa melihatmu?" Jawab si wanita: "Tak lama lagi kau akan datang melihat kami." Tujuh hari setelah mimpi itu berlalu, si pemuda dipanggil oleh Allah menuju kehadiratNya, meninggal dunia.
